The International Relations Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya held the “Launching of International Class Department of International Relations”. This activity is carried out in order to realize the University’s Vision as a Word Class University. The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya has made a selection to get one International class in the International Relations department and was launched as the start of the class.
This activity was held on Wednesday 7 September 2022 in the Integration Auditorium Room 9th Floor UINSA@Gununganyar Campus which was attended by the Rector, Vice Rectors, FISIP Leaders, Faculty Deans, Head of International Service Centers, lecturers, and students, especially New Students of the International Relations department FISIP UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya.
This activity was opened with remarks from the Dean of FISIP UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. He said that the International Class was one of the maximum efforts of FISIP to provide facilities to students and a form of FISIP’s commitment to continue the vision and mission of the Rector UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya in the internationalization process of UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. Then, it was continued with remarks, public lectures and the Launching of International Class of the International Relations department UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya by the Rector of UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya, Prof. Ah. Muzakki, M.Ag, Grad.Dip.SEA, M.Phil, Ph.D. He said that UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya is committed to leading UINSA to the level of World Class University. In addition, Prof. Muzakki emphasized that mastery of international languages is the ticket to be able to reach World Class University. He also said that the requirements to become a World Class University are having international students, recognizing the cultures of the global community and having student exchange activities. In this case, students who are accepted into international classes are expected to always be involved in activities in international classes.
The event continued with the International Class Introduction Presentation by the Head of the International Relations department, Rizki Rahmadini Nurika, S.Hub.Int., M.A. and the Secretary of the International Relations department, Nur Luthfi Hidayatullah, S.IP., M.Hub.Int which explained that the students International class is selected based on TOEFL score. The exam was organized by the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences in collaboration with the UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya Language Development Center (P2B). International classes are held in English as a teaching medium and over time the International Relations Study Program is committed to carrying out Internships abroad, student exchanges, as well as international students and international lecturers. Furthermore, the International Relations department will also carry out International Exposure and Double Degrees.
This activity was enlivened with Art Performancae of Theater Performance by Class 2022, Fashion Show Performance by Class 2021, Performance by Class 2020, Performance Diplomacy Conflict Resolution by Class 2019:. Then closed by singing the song Padamu Negeri. Until the end of the event, this activity was conducive. MJZ
