UINSA Newsroom, Friday (26/05/2023); Jennie Nabilah, a student at UIN Sunan Ampel (UINSA) Surabaya, successfully passed the Student Exchange in Thailand and Malaysia held by the Youth Empowerment Center of Indonesia (YECI) on 20-25 May 2023. The Mathematics Education Study Program student at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FTK) UINSA Surabaya has carried out a Student Exchange with other students from various campuses in Indonesia. “There are from Muhammadiyah University Purwokerto, Gadjah Mada University, IPB Business School, and many more,” she said.

The student exchange held by YECI does not only visit places in these 2 countries. However, the delegation also  implemented the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) program. The student, who is currently in semester 4, along with other delegates also took part in community service activities at the Thai school, Islam Burapha Wittaya School. The service is carried out by providing teaching in Arabic, English, Mathematics and other interesting games. Not just at one university. She also had the opportunity to present his ideas at Malaysia’s best university, namely Universiti Malaya. This activity opened up the opportunity to discuss with the Doctor and Dean of the Faculty of Education, Universiti Malaya. “I am very grateful that this opportunity can open up new relationships and knowledge for me. “I can meet great people and gain new knowledge,” She said.

In addition to community service and mini-conferences at two universities. This series of programs also visited and discussed with Suargana Pringganu, Head of the Consulate of the Republic of Indonesia (KRI) Songkhla. “There we discussed the issues we had written about in essays during the selection process for this program,” she explained. “I advise other friends to continue to dare to explore the world, embrace opportunities, and don’t limit yourself. “In my opinion, nothing is impossible and UINSA will also help facilitate students’ dreams,” she concluded. Hopefully this kind of opportunity will also be more widely opened for other UINSA students.
