Surabaya, October 2, 2024 – In celebration of National Batik Day, students from the Mathematics Education Department at UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya proudly wore batik as part of their lecture activities today. The classrooms were filled with vibrant colors and a cultural atmosphere, as students from various cohorts donned batik with diverse patterns.
Batik, recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of Indonesia, is a symbol of national pride and identity. In honor of this special day, the students enthusiastically wore batik as a form of appreciation for local culture.
