Al-Irsyad High School Visits Faculty of Psychology and Health in Campus Tour agenda

Gunung Anyar, Surabaya (28/11/2023) – A great enthusiasm radiated from Al-Irsyad High School students when they visited the Faculty of Psychology and Health, Sunan Ampel State Islamic University (FPK UINSA). The visit to FPK was carried out by Al-Irsyad High School (SMA Al-Irsyad) as a first step to provide an overview of the world of lectures to its students.

Present at this event was Dr. Phil. Khoirun Niam as the Dean of FPK UINSA, M. Ainur Rohim, S.Ag as the Principal of Al-Irsyad Surabaya High School, Syafruddin Faisal Thohar, M.Psi., Psychologist, and Ruhayati Ramly as the resource person for this event and the teachers accompanying Al-Irsyad Surabaya High School students.

The event opened with a series of remarks. The first speech was delivered by the Dean of FPK. In his speech, Dr. Phil. Khoirun Niam invited students to choose UINSA as a career destination in science. “The happy siblings, choose UINSA as your career destination in science, the name of the state university is certainly a guarantee of the afterlife. We here will not only provide quality education, but also guide all of you to develop in the future,” he said.

No less interesting, M. Ainur Rohim, S.Ag as Principal of Al-Irsyad Surabaya High School also gave his speech. He said that the purpose of the visit was to introduce the campus world to students of Al-Irsyad Surabaya High School. He also added his main motivation in making FPK one of the objectives of the Campus Tour agenda this time. “The visit to UINSA is the right choice because the Faculty of Psychology has a high enrollment interest rate. I hope many students from Al-Irsyad will be accepted at UINSA’s Faculty of Psychology,” he added.

Syafruddin Faisal Thohar, M.Psi, Psychologist, provided interesting material related to psychology. The man who serves as Secretary of the Psychology Study Program explained about lectures at UINSA’s FPK, he also explained the importance of knowing the interests and talents of each student. Ruhayati Ramly also added explanations related to lectures at UINSA, she explained in detail about the Faculty and study programs at UINSA. “UINSA is a special university because it is supported by the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Ministry of Religious Affairs. We offer study programs that are in accordance with the times and the needs of the community,” he said.

This visit is expected to open the insight of Al-Irsyad High School students about the potential and opportunities at UINSA’s Faculty of Psychology. With this event, students are expected to make the right choice to achieve a bright future in the world of higher education.
