THE KEY TO IMPROVING QUALITY*

We are grateful to Allah for all His blessings, particularly the gift of health. May He always grant us open hearts and happiness in carrying out our daily duties on this campus.
This campus aspires to achieve the significant milestone of becoming a legally recognized institution of higher learning. Achieving this goal requires considerable effort, both in terms of finances and preparing human resources capable of keeping pace with such acceleration.
Reflecting on Surah Al-Mujadalah, verse 11: يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْٓا اِذَا قِيْلَ لَكُمْ تَفَسَّحُوْا فِى الْمَجٰلِسِ فَافْسَحُوْا يَفْسَحِ اللّٰهُ لَكُمْۚ وَاِذَا قِيْلَ انْشُزُوْا فَانْشُزُوْا يَرْفَعِ اللّٰهُ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا مِنْكُمْۙ وَالَّذِيْنَ اُوْتُوا الْعِلْمَ دَرَجٰتٍۗ وَاللّٰهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ خَبِيْرٌ – ١١ Translation: “O you who have believed, when it is said to you, ‘Make room in assemblies,’ then make room; Allah will make room for you. And when it is said, ‘Rise,’ then rise; Allah will raise those who have believed among you and those who were given knowledge, in degrees. And Allah is Acquainted with what you do.”
From this verse, we understand that knowledge is a key factor in improving quality and elevating one’s status. Knowledge contributes to the enhancement of faith.
We bear witness to how our predecessors at UIN Sunan Ampel, with their knowledge and faith, have successfully upheld the esteemed reputation of this campus, Sunan Ampel. Analogously, if we consider the campus as a mother, it has given birth to many renowned institutions in East Java, Kalimantan, and Lombok, all thanks to the wisdom of our ancestors.
May the accomplishments of our predecessors serve as motivation for us to collectively realize the grand vision of this campus by maintaining our faith and continuously striving to advance our knowledge.
