On Monday, January 15, 2024, around 1:00 PM, 15 students and 2 teachers from Madrasah Aliyyah Takhasus Nurul Islam Jombang visited the English Literature Study Programme, Faculty of Adab and Humanities, UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. The guests were welcomed by Vice Dean of Student Affairs and Cooperation, Dr. Mohammad Khodafi, M.Fil.I, and the Head of the English Literature Study Programme, Endratno Pilih Swasono, M.Pd, in the Meeting Room of the Faculty of Adab at UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya.
[15.07, 15/1/2024] Endratno: The purpose of this visit is to prepare the MA students for further studies they are planning to pursue, coincidentally choosing the English Literature Study Programme at the Faculty of Adab and Humanities at UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. This study visit activity is a new program for the high school this year. Madrasah Aliyyah Takhasus Nurul Islam Jombang is expected to become a partnering organization of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities.
In his address, the Vice Dean of Student, Cooperation, and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Khodafi, M.Si. provided an opportunity for Mrs. Umi Alfiatus Zuhroh, M.Hum, the coordinator from Madrasah Aliyyah Takhasus Nurul Islam Jombang to receive guidance and cooperation with the Faculty of Adab and Humanities. This was also emphasized by Endratno Pilih Swasono, M.Pd that both institutions could establish an Agreement of Cooperation for future collaboration between the two institutions.
In addition, Endratno also explained everything about the English Literature Study Program, including the curriculum, scholarships, and how to graduate quickly as a student at UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya.
After the explanation from the Head of the English Literature Study Program, the chief and vice chief of the English Literature Department Student Association (EDSA) or HIMAPRO-SI guided the students of Madrasah Aliyyah Takhasus Nurul Islam Jombang in a tour to see the facilities of UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya Gunung Anyar.
