Tuesday, August 22, 2023, the Information Systems Study Program (IS) held a public lecture with the theme GRC Implementation in the Technology Field: Job Overview and Future Career Opportunities, at the Gunung Anyar Campus in Surabaya. The speaker at this event was Eka Pramudita Purnomo who is the COO of PT Integra Teknologi Solusi.
IT GRC itself is one of the three graduate profiles in the SI Study Program. IT GRC, which stands for Information Technology Governance Risk Compliance, is a promising field of science in the IT field. “Now is the right time for students to learn IT GRC so that in 5 years they can have a career in this field,” Eka explained.
“A career in this field is very wide open considering that more and more companies are implementing solutions in the field of technology. So that there will be more and more demand for governance and risk mitigation,” Eka added.
The event, which was attended by around 150 participants, was interactive and interesting. Participants seemed enthusiastic about following and answering questions from the speaker. The event was also attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, A. Saepul Hamdani. “After following the speaker’s presentation, I am interested in this field because I was also involved in the field of quality assurance at UINSA. Hopefully this kind of event can be continued,” said the Dean.
In addition to the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, the event was also attended by the Head of the Information Systems Study Program, Mrs. Dwi Rolliawati and the Secretary of the Department, Mr. Faris Muslihul Amin. “The Information Systems Study Program seeks to equip prospective graduates with various perspectives on fields of interest so that students have an idea of what profile suits their passion,” said Dwi. The event was moderated by Mrs. Indri Sudanawati Rozas who is also a lecturer in IT GRC.
