About PUSKIT
The Indonesia-China Study Center (Pusat Kajian Indonesia-Tiongkok, PUSKIT) is a multidisciplinary academic institution within the Department of International Relations, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, at the State Islamic University of Sunan Ampel Surabaya. Dedicated to fostering strong Indonesia-China relations, PUSKIT embraces the three pillars of higher education: teaching, research, and community engagement.
PUSKIT seeks to enhance the competencies of both lecturers and students in fields related to Indonesia-China studies. We are committed to producing valuable insights and information that serve as a foundation for policy recommendations, thereby contributing to the strengthening of ties between Indonesia and China.

Belt and Road Finance Forum
September 16, 2023 | Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province
Invited by Hebei Normal University (HBU), Ridha Amaliyah, S.IP., MBA., presented her research on “Social Embeddedness on Chinese Investments: The Indonesian Case,” where she explored socio-economic relations between Chinese investors and Indonesian local governments. This opportunity allowed her to connect with the Indonesian Study Center at HBU.
Symbiotic Education Conference

At the 3rd International Conference on Culture and Symbiotic Education, she presented on Chinese language learning in Indonesia. Her insights into how Indonesian students utilize social media for language acquisition resonated with educators and attendees.
China-Indonesia People-to-People Exchange Forum

Her presentation, “Building Bridges: Towards A Sustainable People-to-People Connection Between China and Indonesia,” emphasized enhancing bilateral cooperation in education, social relations, and culture. This topic sparked meaningful dialogues on future collaboration.

Cultural Activities
March-May 2024 | BFSU East Campus
Ridha Amaliyah, S.IP., MBA., took part in cultural activities that deepened her appreciation of China’s rich heritage. Through classes on embroidery, coin casting, and tie-dye, she explored traditional Chinese arts dating back centuries. These experiences enriched her cultural understanding and built lasting connections with local communities.

As a representative of Muhammadiyah in China, she visited Beijing University of Chemical and Technology to foster educational collaboration between Chinese and Indonesian institutions. This visit initiated discussions on potential research partnerships.

In a relaxed yet insightful gathering with Indonesian students in Beijing, she exchanged ideas on how Indonesian youth in China can contribute to Indonesia-China cooperation. Dr. Arief Rosyid Hasan, a visiting youth and cultural activist, also contributed to the conversation.
