Joint International Conference on Political and Islamic Studies (JICoPIS 2025) aims to facilitate academic presentations on social, political and Islamic issues relevant to the conference’s theme “Digital Islam: Contemporary Socio-Political Digitalization within Islamic Communities”. It also aims to promote collaboration between academics and professionals, to foster ongoing knowledge exchange and discussion about contemporary issues. The conference features two main sessions: (1) Plenary session where experts discuss the conference’s central theme; and (2) Parallel sessions where presenters share and discuss their research, exchanging ideas and perspectives on issues related to the main theme. 

Hosted by the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP)UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya (UINSA), in collaboration with the Academy of Islamic Studies, Universiti Malayathe conference is conducted on Tuesday, 20 May 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Selected papers will be published on one of the organizing universities’ journals. Participants are encouraged to contribute to both publications. The conference welcomes papers from diverse disciplines, perspectives, and geographical areas, focusing on the development of multidisciplinary and inclusive knowledge. It provides a platform not only for academics to analyze political and social phenomena, but also for stakeholders from both academic and professional sectors to engage in broad intellectual discourse.
